I have a great deal of experience with transcribing in the Human Resources field including: warnings, disciplinary hearings transcripts, transcripts of grievance meetings, policy meetings, pre and post consultation meetings around changes in the workplace or impending redundancies. I have also provided transcripts for students training in HR who have conducted one to one interviews to support their CIPD qualification
PACE Transcribing
I am very experienced in criminal law. I have over five years experience transcribing Police interviews that were done under PACE (Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984), this includes suspect interviews, witness interviews, and covert recordings. These transcriptions consisted of full verbatim transcripts and ROTI summaries (Record of Taped Interview). I then went on to work in the Crime Management Unit of my local Police Station where I remained for over five years. My job consisted of viewing all positively disposed crime, undetected crimes and potential no crimes, and making decisions on how the crime would be disposed of by adhering to Home Office Counting Rules. A large portion of my undergraduate social science degree was in criminology.
I have experience with transcribing PACE Interviews for Councils/ Local Authorities and solicitors. If you have PACE interviews under the Environmental Protection Act, Council investigated Fraud offences, Trading Standards offences, those offences committed under the Health and Safety Act or any others, I can provide you with accurate transcripts at a reasonable price. These are usually done by intelligent verbatim which adds to the affordability. If you choose to have the transcript done verbatim that service is also available but is more expensive and often not necessary for what is required with these type of offences.
I have experience in most areas surrounding investigations, a lot of my transcription work has involved telephone call transcription, transcripts of meeting with solicitors and private investigators, and council meetings.
Much of my transcription work also comes from students studying law, criminology or policing. I have worked on several dissertations in this arena from longitudinal studies regarding the prison population, youth offender workers and public protection studies.
I am very aware of the importance of confidentiality in these areas. I find that a lot of my clients use me because I am not in-house and therefore they do not have to worry about the information disclosed in an HR meeting or disciplinary hearing potentially being disseminated to other members of the company/ police force. I will provide you with a word document transcript of your digital audio recordings. When the project is complete all of your recordings and transcripts are deleted. All information is of course kept strictly confidential at all times. I have a confidentiality clause in my Client Agreement for your peace of mind. And of course I comply with GDPR.
